Mom

Oh Mom,

When I needed all the warms;
you took me into your arms

You lent me your lap;
to take a little nap

You pull me to your chest;
when I need little rest

You nourish me within your wings;
and put up with all my moodswings

All I did was scolding;
all that you did was loving

I dared not look into your eyes;
when I did little mischiefs

When I was in bed recovering;
you also took all the suffering

Whenever I used to cry in pain;
your heart bleeded with affection

When I was inside you I kicked you hard;
now I am young and you keep me on guard

All I do is dream for me;
and you give your life for me

Selfish defines me;
Selfless defines you

I felt happy because I took part in a drama;
therefore you felt happier too and that's no drama

Jolly time, in a waterfall I slipped;
In that fear it's your heartbeat that slipped

I go here, I go there, I go eveywhere;
And for me you are here, here and here

I boast what I earn spending only for myself;
and you boast amongst your friends showing all that by yourself

All I did was scolding;
all that you do is loving

Little did I know you have a heart of your own?
little did I know that you have a dream to care on?

Later I came to know that your dreams are all for my happiness;
and at that instance I made a decision to give you all the happiness

Oh Mom,

Sorry if I ever were insensitive;
now on my love for you will be intensive

God created earth, god created water;
God needed love, therefore he created every mother

I wanted reason for my birth;
I saw my mom and am ready for my death.

To mom, with love
madhuma.
